  • In the passageway, corridor, or hallway more than six meters from the entrance of the doorway to a sole-occupancy unit in a class two or three building which opens to a fire isolated stairway, ramp or passageway, an external stairway serving instead of a fire-isolated stairway, an external balcony leading to a fire-isolated stairway, or an open space or road.
  • In all required non-fire-isolated stairways.
